Physical Activity and Breastfeeding
Image
Physical activity is healthy after giving birth, as long as you don't overdo it.
And don't worry - it won't cause any problems with breastfeeding.
Physical activity doesn't affect the amount or quality of breast milk you make and won't affect the growth of your baby if you're breastfeeding. In rare cases, intense physical activity can cause an increase in lactic acid in breast milk and the baby may not like the taste.
If your baby doesn't feed well after you've done intense physical activity:
Remember - your breast milk is the best food for your baby.
